What are the festival's opening times?
The campsite opens on August 9, and the festival officially begins on August 12. Check-out is on August 16.
TICKETS
Where can I get tickets?
You can buy tickets online here. You can also purchase tickets in the Fever App, available on Google Play and the Apple Store.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
There won’t be tickets for sale at the door, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets here or in the Fever App.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, your contactless tickets will be validated directly in the Fever App or by showing your tickets via your phone.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Are refunds allowed?
Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, you can refer to our T&Cs.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Can I bring my children?
Yes, Iceland Eclipse 2026 festival is open for all ages. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Adults are responsible entirely for the safety and welfare of any infant, child, or teenager in their party. The festival does not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18s on site.
I am under 18, can I attend without an adult?
No, all those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
TRAVEL & LOGISTICS
How do I get to Iceland?
Fly into Keflavík International Airport (KEF), about 45 minutes from Reykjavík. We’ll provide guidance for shuttles, rideshares, and road trips to Hellissandur.
Shuttles will be available from Reykjavik and the airport.
Do I need a visa?
Most travelers from the U.S., EU, and Canada don’t. Still, check your country’s travel requirements.
How do I get to the festival site?
The drive time from Reykjavík to Hellissandur is ~2.5 hours. We’ll share travel guides, shuttle details, and carpool options before the event.
Can I bring a camper van or RV?
Yes, with a camper van pass. These are limited and will be released with tickets.
What is the weather like in Iceland?
August in Snæfellsnes is cool and changeable. Daytime temperatures usually range from 8°C to 15°C (46°F to 59°F), but coastal winds can make it feel cooler. You can expect a mix of sun, clouds, and occasional rain, sometimes all in the same day. We recommend dressing in layers, bringing a warm jacket, and having waterproof clothing and sturdy shoes for the volcanic terrain.
What clothing and gear do you recommend bringing?
Dress in layers you can add or remove as the weather changes. Bring a waterproof jacket, warm sweater, sturdy boots, gloves, and a hat. For camping, pack a warm sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and headlamp.
How long does it take to get from Reykjavík to Hellissandur?
It’s about a 2.5–3-hour drive (roughly 190 km) along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula route. Expect extra time if you stop to enjoy the scenery. There are waterfalls and lava fields along the way.
Will there be shuttle buses from Reykjavík or Keflavík Airport?
Yes. Festival shuttles will operate between Reykjavík, Keflavík Airport (KEF), and Hellissandur before and after the festival. The schedule and pick-up locations will be announced closer to the event.
Do the shuttles run during the festival days?
Yes. A continuous shuttle loop will connect Reykjavík, the off-site parking lots, and the Hellissandur festival entrance from August 9 to 16, so you can move easily without needing a car.
Can I book the bus later if I haven’t finalized my travel yet?
Absolutely. Bus passes can be added later through Fever or our website once your travel plans are confirmed. Seats are limited, so we suggest reserving early once schedules open.
Is everything walkable once I’m in Hellissandur?
Yes. The main stages, camping zones, and food areas are all within 5–10 minutes’ walk of each other. The village itself is small and easy to navigate on foot.
How far is the Builders’ Residency area from the festival grounds?
Residency workshops happen around Hellissandur and Rif. That is about 5–7 minutes’ drive or 20 minutes’ walk from the main festival entrance. Shuttle service will link the two daily.
Can I leave the site to explore and re-enter later?
Yes. The camp is open August 9–16 and you may leave to explore the region, returning freely with your wristband. Security checks will occur upon re-entry.
FESTIVAL POLICIES
Will I need eclipse glasses?
Yes, and we’ll provide certified eclipse viewers to all attendees.
What are the Restricted Items for the festival?
For everyone’s safety and to protect our artists and venue, the following are not allowed inside the festival site:
Illegal substances, weapons, fireworks, drones, or hazardous materials
Stoves, grills or other cooking equipment
Glass bottles or containers
Outside alcohol (non-alcoholic drinks only sealed containers)
Professional cameras, video or sound recording equipment without prior approval*
Any unauthorized recording, streaming, or reproduction of performances
All animals and pets excited service animals with proper health certification

*Exceptions will be made for eclipse viewing, allowing approved participants to bring professional cameras or telescopes with prior authorisation. Please email hallo@icelandeclipse.com.
Can I bring my own alcohol and food into the main festival area?
No. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol or food into the main arena at the festival; this is to only be consumed within the campground. Bins will be provided at the gates to dispose of any items before entering the main arena.
Will there be vegetarian or vegan options available?
Yes. There will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available on site, but if you have any other very particular food requirements, we do recommend you come prepared.
Is there a Lost & Found?
We would recommend asking the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. If you cannot ask them on site, please reach out at hallo@icelandeclipse.com.
Will there be medical services on site?
Yes. There will be trained staff, first aid, and emergency medical response available 24/7.
Will there be cell service or WiFi?
While we suggest taking time to unplug; both cell service and WiFi should be available for the duration of the event.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no pets. Iceland’s unique ecosystem and local rules don’t allow it.
Can I stay off-site and still attend the festival?
Yes. You can stay off-site and still attend the festival. Off-site guests will use specially designated entrances for entry and re-entry each day
Ticketing & Pricing (USD)
What ticket types are available?
Eclipse Seeker – US$721; Celestial Voyager – US$1,369; Youth (13–17) – US$200; Child (0–12) – Free; Car Parking Pass – US$50.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable to another person.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Payment plans can be selected during checkout via Fever.
Is there a ticket limit?
Yes. Only 3,333 tickets will be sold.
On-Site Facilities & Services
Is there medical assistance on site?
Yes. A 24/7 first-aid station and medical team will operate throughout the event. The nearest clinic is in Ólafsvík, 10 minutes away.
Will there be food vendors on-site?
Yes. The festival hosts a food market with local and international vendors, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
A limited personal quantity is allowed per Icelandic customs rules, but alcohol sharing or selling outside licensed areas is prohibited.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Premium camping and lounge areas offer Wi-Fi. Basic connection available in other zones.
Is Iceland cashless?
Yes. Most vendors accept only card or contactless payment. There’s an ATM in Ólafsvík for those who need cash.
Will there be seating or chill zones?
Yes. Designated lounges, fire circles, and seating areas are distributed across all main zones.
Weather, Nature & Safety
What is the weather like in August?
Expect 10–15°C by day and 5–8°C at night. Bring layers, waterproof gear, and warm clothing.
Will it be dark at night?
Partially. Iceland experiences long days, but by August you’ll get a few hours of darkness suitable for stargazing and potential Northern Lights sightings.
Are there mosquitoes?
No. Iceland has no mosquitoes; you may see harmless midges near water.
Can I drink tap water?
Yes! Icelandic tap water is pure and safe. Bring a reusable bottle.
What happens if it rains?
The event continues rain or shine. Covered domes, lounges, and wellness tents offer shelter when needed.
